These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AEO FAQ Generator ("the App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

AEO FAQ Generator is a Shopify application that uses AI to generate AEO-optimized FAQ content for your product pages. The App stores FAQs as Shopify metaobjects and renders them with FAQPage JSON-LD schema via a Theme App Extension.

2. Eligibility

You must have an active Shopify store and be authorized to install apps on that store. You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of your business.

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

• Free plan: Limited to 10 products with active FAQs at no charge.
• Paid plans: Billed monthly through Shopify's billing system. By upgrading, you authorize Shopify to charge the applicable fee to your payment method on file.
• Plan limits: The limit applies to distinct products with at least one active FAQ linked. Regenerating FAQs for already-counted products does not consume additional slots.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through Shopify Admin → Apps → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.

4. AI-Generated Content

FAQ content is generated by Google Gemini AI based on your product data. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or omissions.
• You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all FAQ content before publishing to your storefront.
• We make no guarantees that AI-generated FAQs will achieve specific SEO, AEO, or citation outcomes.
• You must not use the App to generate false, misleading, or deceptive content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App to generate spam, harmful, or illegal content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying AI models or prompts.
• Resell or sublicense access to the App.
• Use the App in any way that violates Shopify's Partner Program Agreement or Acceptable Use Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, its underlying code, and all non-user-generated content are owned by us or our licensors. FAQ content generated from your product data is owned by you. You grant us a limited license to process your product data solely to provide the App's services.

7. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your use by uninstalling the App from your Shopify store.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
